About Taoist Tai Chi®

The ancient Taoists were renowned for their study of the arts of health and longevity. The Taoist Tai Chi Society® internal art of taijiquan conveys the essence of this tradition to the modern world.

The Taoist Tai Chi Society of the USA offers classes in the internal art of taijiquan and other internal arts of health taught by the Society's founder, Master Moy Lin-Shin, in locations across the U.S.

Benefits of the Taoist Tai Chi Society® Internal Arts of Health: The Society's internal arts of health incorporate stretching and turning into a sequence of movements that improve the health of body, mind, and spirit. They reduce tension, improve circulation and balance, and increase strength and flexibility. Over time, these internal arts reach deep inside the body to benefit its entire physiology and restore the calmness and peace of mind often lost through the excessive desires and anxieties of daily life.

Beginning to Learn Taijiquan: Beginning classes meet once or twice a week. It takes three to four months to learn the sequence of 108 moves. Learning the sequence of moves begins a lifetime of exploring the depths of the Taoist Tai Chi® internal art of taijiquan.

In keeping with Master Moy's vision of compassion and service to others, all instructors are nationally accredited volunteers, and most of the administrative work is done by volunteers.
